Pakistan is the major global source of hand stitched sports balls, supplying over 70% of the world’s demand, even producing the World Cup football. Skilled women can sew five to seven footballs per day. However, they can only earn a little by every football they stitched. Therefore they need their children to help, which affect their opportunities to receive education. We hope that through the Charity Football Match, public awareness on child labor problem can be raise. The public can also understand more about Fair Trade products and raise funds for FTHK.
