Of course not!

Fair Trade is an alternative to conventional trade. It aims at providing a reasonable profit to the producers and eliminating the exploitation. The Fair Trade ensure the small-scale farmers to receive the money they deserve, so as to ensure the selling price of the agricultural product covers  its cost, and additional small-percentage of the money has accumulated to the Cooperatives  as Social Premium. The use of Fair Trade Social Premium will be decided by the cooperative of small-scale farmer collectively for enhancing their community.

Every dollar earned by the farmer is the result of their effort. Therefore, Fair Trade is not mercy or donation, it is an affirmation of their job.
