Members of the Society include corporations, NGOs and other organizations, which agree that Fair Trade is in line with CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility): companies and organizations achieving success in ways that honor ethical values and respect people, communities and the natural environment). Members have pledged to raise awareness of Fair Trade in their specific sector. The Society was inaugurated on May 10, 2008, and is run by the FTWS Steering Committee. The Committee is comprised of representatives of the society’s members and individuals dedicated to the cause of Fair Trade.
